i tried burning bridges that were keeping us part
maybe it would help mend my broken heart
like the flames that burn they gently fade away
all my tomorrows are just another day

memories i hold inside my memory
they wont fade away there still here with me
our roads had different ways that led us both apart
all we left each other was a broken heart

bridges that we built they were far to high
we waved as we crossed as we said good bye
i tried to burn them down  so we could be free
tried to build a road to lead you back to me

we could try again no bridges anymore
fall in love again like we did before
