i saw a  lovely butterfly on my flower bed
there amongst the flowers with his wings  both spread.
he had lots of colors that were very bright
red and blue and yellow his wing tips they were white

flying round the flowers a happy as can be
colors on display there for me to see
then he flew away gently in the sky
i sat there and waved as i said goodbye
