Reflecting...
Here we sit...
On the front porch swing rusted
The two lives that we've trusted
All these many years
We have lived...
The best of what life had to offer
The only thing saved up in our coffers
Is the joy of our tears
We've got our dreams...
And the young'uns that surround us
From the years of love that has found us
And still hasn't let go
So it seems...
We've still got much more living
Never taking, only giving
That's how we know
We've made it through...
Rough seas as they tossed us
Holding tight whatever the cost was
Each others life preserve
Lord only knew...
All these years were meant for each other
Best friends, husband, wife, lover
Living life for all of its worth
Reflecting...
On the front porch swing rusted
The two lives that we've trusted
All these many years...
