May 2020
Perhaps 100000 dead
In America alone

The virus spreads and spreads
We cling to our cell phones

Life itself is a disease
From which we all will die

Yet I pray upon my knees
For the lovers and those who try

To rebel with Monsieur Camus
Against the awful Absurd

Doctors, nurses, teachers
Tell me have you heard?

How fares the human race?
How fares planet Earth?

How to find in misery
The mystical mother mirth?

Yes, everything eventually dies.
Does reality rebirth?
