I'm often in favor
Of ambiguity
But not to attack the Good

It's just often
Very hard to know
Exactly what is the Should

Abraham knew
An ambiguous Providence
He did the best he could

I've befriended both
Priests and bankrobbers
In my little neighborhood

               I've kneeled
               Sat long in silence
               And stood.
