there is a little cat a cheeky chap is he
he tries to catch the birds high up in the tree
climbing up the branches stalking out his prey
quiet as a mouse as he climbs away

heading for the top where the birds all stay
but the birds all hear him then they fly away
the cat he climbs back down is climbing it is done
though they flew away the cat had so much fun
