i saw little butterfly with colors by the score
red and green and gold and whole lot more
like a flying rainbow a lovely chap was he
flying round the flowers and the willow tree

i sat there and watched him for a little while
he gave my heart a glow brought my face a smile
then he flew away high up in the sky
i looked up at him waved to say goodbye

he might comeback tomorrow and fly again for me
all around the flowers and the willow tree
showing of his colors like rainbow in the sun
flying all around having so much fun
