The Atlantic smashes the western shore
waves all the way from America,
while our East is relatively sheltered.
The North wind brings the cold
and Southern wind warmth from Africa.
The night sky also, when clear of cloud
opens to the freezing Universe,
while Summers daytime at its zenith
is all the twenty four hours.
Winter brings her dark cloak, speckled
with star shine, and we hunker down,
snuggled in and wait for Spring.
