I believe if you have something
you should flaunt it. Don’t be ashamed
of what others say. They’re just jealous,
anyway. Be proud of yourself. Don’t hide

from the world. Wear that lipstick
smile. Glide in that slender dress, the one with
the low-cut neck. Sing a song of love and
pain. Cry out loud. But don’t remain hidden as

a rock beneath the leaves, silent as a hawk
above the trees. Make a statement. Show the world
you are not the average girl.
