Once I thought I loved you(Revised)
Once you were here,
then you were gone;
forgotten me, me too,
you laughed and moved on.
I died in your sleep,
you died in mine;
what the hell darling
the past was once fine.
This is a memory poem
written in a hurried manner;
could have been better my friend,
but I was never a planner.
Love lost is always tragic,
nice, sweet, sad, funny and blue;
scattered feelings, shattered dreams,
upset by things we never knew.
I'll forget you in a while,
love's not easily won or lost;
but we always pay a price,
and always it's too much a cost.
