You are a guitar
with strings which
are the slightest bit
off tune
an old acoustic
which is more like an old companion
then an object
varnished to reflective perfection

Me?
I'm more like a grand piano
gathering dust
in the back of a thrift store
accustomed
to telling the tales
of the down and out
empathetic tears shed
leaving water stains
on the ivory keys
