My life's passport
I will stamp
none else
that right
could claim
as it bears
my name--

the chop says:
' unlimited exit and entry'
I am thus empowered
to travel to every country
of my heart's choice
any land, anywhere
unbounded, totally free-

I will die--too quickly-
to live in bounds
to none, to no authority
do I owe any duty
I am born unfettered
endowed with self-liberty--

when I finally pass
the port of last calling
it shall be none but me
who would do
the final stamping:
'  traveller well-lived
   document soon expiring
   no further need of renewing'
