the whimper
a small, and pitiful (yet strangely beautiful)
sound that falls like velvet from my lips.
the sound of desire, unspeakable want.
a sound that will give him chills and make him pace.
a sound that acts like a readying trumpet at a horse's race.
a sound of begging and needing.
a golden thing,
held closely as my own,
protected from all.
except the one that creates the whimper.
