the bare black

trees will watch...

as i lift your chin

to the white sky.

cocked back in the danger

of animal lust.

i'll listen to snowflakes

fragment against your

rapidly batting eyelashes.

as i run my open mouth

on the sides of your neck,

introducing my teeth

when you least expect it--

and want it most.
*To my Queen, whose eyes are only fit to gaze unto that starkly white sky.
