Glory,
the name they gave their daughter
the moment that they saw her
on the day she came to be

Glory,
words used to describe her
there ain't nothing like her
this side of Tennessee

Glory,
greets the new day dawning
smiles brightly at the morning
as she whispers to the breeze

Glory,
gives away all she's given
it's how she makes her living
and how she stays so free

Glory,
a child of will and wonder
won't let today's tide pull her under
the guardian of her keep
