The Enlightenment
A dimly-lit and dripping corridor
Echoing with the screams of broken souls
As they are liberated for a new age
The executioner adjusts his hood,
Wipes his hands free of blood and fragments ofΒ Β bone,
And checks his incoming text-messages.
