when kids wanted to get high all of the time;
hang out & watch tv; get laid & grow their hair
long they protested & fought the cops for peace;
went to jail & learned something valuable;
now when kids want to go to college they protest
& wear their hair short; carry handmade signs
& chant ready-made slogans about issues they
don't fully comprehend because the moneyed elite
has a stranglehold on society; the one virtue
such a generation has is the appetite to consume
cannabis; perhaps the origin of man's religious
visions sitting in a dank cave or on a hilltop
trying not to get killed or injured most days;
examining the vista high on something u ate
that some dude gave u & now u want more
& as u walk through forest flora u learn that
the women will do anything to get that feeling
