I stepped outside this morning
Stars covering my front lawn
While I was inside asleep last night
They must have all fallen

So I picked up a handful
And made myself a wish
Tossed them high into the sky
In hopes that they would stick

I tossed wishes for tomorrow
Threw a few for today
Built quite the constellation
With all the wishes that I made
