I put my heart on the line
I ignored all of the signs
Thinking that I would be fine

You dragged my heart through the dirt
You did not care if I was hurt
Your foot trampled me straight through
Yet a chance I still gave you.

You said you would be there for me
Yet now, all I seem to be
Is an old, bittersweet mem'ry.
