Apollo conceived the Muses
with his various colored rays;
Adam busted a rib & it became
woman; to this day men are making
women in their image; idols are mirrors
of an invisible ego; the body out of shape
& dying, she newborn younger daughter, sister,
wife, mother created by the cheating father who
for the same thing again & again; an artist who repeats
himself endlessly creating woman after woman after woman
& she knows nothing of this; a woman's body is a work of art; a
living being, a person who naked out of the shower & into bed where
she creates after her own kind & lo & behold what appears but a woman
not a work of art no matter how perfect she is in every part
