When does desire become lust
When does desire become fruitless dreams of yesterday

Was desire ever anything more than lust

Why does desire keep me awake, as if it is a physical hunger for foreign food

Like a mother stopping her child from eating too many sweets, the world stops me from having what I desire

Perhaps to protect me from realising the falsehood of my dreams
Or maybe because the world knows my intentions
