When darkness replaces sun,
and stars twinkle urging
dreams to come out and play,
I listen to the winds voice.

It echoes, as if a band leader
aiding the changing of the guard.

Moon rises to take its place cordially
passing sun who is ready
to nap in its blanket of rays.

Moments expand from seconds
knocking at the hourly hand
as bells toll gracefully.

When darkness replaces sun,
and its rest time for traveling soul
candle in heart burns
illuminating darkness.

Burns away fears and doubts
that linger from day.

Moon sings a lullaby to stars
that tickle consciousness
as vibrations rock gently.

                           Time to welcome in the
shadows that drift
as I sit
content to play in the dark.
