We shall fight on the landing grounds
We shall never surrender!
Ask not what your country can do for you
Ask what you can do for your country!
Sir I just asked you if you wanted chicken or fish.
As the main entrée.
His children looked embarrassed.
Daddy is at it again.
This time he combined speakers
And nations.
And the confused waitress was just standing there.

She did not know if the chicken would fight on the landing grounds
Or if the fish should ask the country what to do.
Because Daddy was thinking of the battle
The times when men were men
And everyone knew this fact.
His children just wanted to eat.
Daddy finally spoke up
And said Buffalo.
They say its endangered.
I have to eat one before they are all gone.
My ancestors enjoyed them.
I should too.
Too bad I could not hunt it.
But if someone would be  kind enough to hunt it for me
The waitress cut him off and said, We don’t have buffalo.
And I doubt that your ancestors even saw buffalo.
I told you that 10 minutes ago.
Now chicken or fish.
Fish! Said Daddy’s daughter.
Can I get shark? Daddy asked with anticipation.
You said you have fish.
Might as well have the king of the sea.
Well he was king.
Now he is dinner.
The waitress was dumbfounded.
Men might be men.
But where this man came from.
Men might have started off something else.
But it did not matter.
Because his children looked despondent
Like they went through this before
Or like this happened every thing they went out to eat.
I’ll see what I can do, The waitress replied.
Daddy looked happy.
