Poems
Dec 2017
I was
I was 18 years old
I loved people
I admired her
entranced by her affection
I did drugs
lost friends
Swore I'd find myself
I was an optimist
I vandalized my
surroundings
ran from the cops
refilled my coffee cup
sneaking into the diner's kitchen
Didn't care
didn't need to
I used to not fear
the world
