My soul moves
to shore of heart,
brushing inside tides of life.

Currents move,
as essence spirals
trying to reach
sandy ground for balance.

Clouds grey,
trap my own suns light
as self is lost in sea of doubt.

Challengers mount
while day after day
faith eludes and waves peak.

Moments expand in breath
while painful chill of waves
begin cleansing process
as if knife
trying to cut away darkness.

Wind of deep inhales
brings
new directions with thoughts
as shoreline glows vibrantly
urging me on.

Positive words of trust
anchor and waves
are caught with breezes
of life force energies.

Shift occurs within
as soul breaks through like sun
and peace begins to align with moment.

A moment to celebrate
the dark waves
that brought me to the sacred shore.
Inspired by Rafia Shujaat's poem "I am losing it"
