We've all been given a life sentence
With no telling how long that will be
Before you know you could get early parole
While others take years before they're set free

Some spend hard time while some breeze through life
Which has a lot to do with attitude
If you find that you are behind those hard time bars
A well laid plan of escape is all up to you

So as we all serve out this life sentence
Shouldn't we make the best of it
I know it can be hard but what's worth it that's not
And if we have to be here we might as well live
