I'm a mouse
I tip-toe
the master and mistress
my whereabouts they never know-

their farm is fertile and lush
so many crops they grow
food is abundant at home
every day, every moment--so--

their outgoing and incoming
I surreptitiously follow
be it the blazing sunshine
or when the bitterest winter winds blow--

every dollar they earn
they save at the cellar below
I went down yesterday to count
$20,000!  Who would know?

this story none I did tell before
last month a thief slipped below
after midnight---I bit it on the leg so
hard, in pain he let the money go--

thanks from master and mistress
I don't need though I'm a Mighty-Mouse Hero
they provide me free board and lodging
life could never be better--well, that's as far as my ditty does go!
