I've been gone too long,
Away from the heat of equatorial suns
Motherland islands of my birth
I'm a foster child, Americana
In the excess of her privileges
I've grown accustomed to milk & honey
Though without her wealth
Lacking big love and money
I'm no longer so native
My skin has turned pale
I've been away for so long
I'm dying here
Sunburnt and food poisoning
Oy Americano! you're too white boyish
Won't survive our ways
As always I never could fit in
Can't find where I belong
Got nothing but certainty where I go
Knowing afterlife I'll love the glow...
