May 2017
the peaches fell down around the green
grasses scattering seeds wild as the squirrels chattered
in ecstasy the baby owls lingered too long
the hawks came feasting
man shot his shot
disrupting the
eagles glory
thoughts of lead
made
the vultures
those smart circling watching
circle laughing as we
the wrong  scavenged
all our bones
