(20 minute poetry)

sat there on an atoll
surrounded by life
supported by coral
seeing the sand sloping
down to the sea
watching the sea on its
journey to me,

the sun scatters light on
the beach
if I reach out to touch it
I can almost taste
heaven.

Monday is often like this
a pleasant reminder of
places I miss.
