Brighter Outlook
Despite my fun
Over the past year,
I've left myself with a
Broken heart souvenir.
Meaningless interactions
Men and $ex,
Devoid of emotion,
My copious vex.
The felonious attempt,
To subdue my lonliness.
Rendering a wholeness ...
Still inept.
At the cusp,
It's time to reclaim
The parts of me
I've betrayed.
A newfound confidence,
In what the future holds.
A chance to write my story
As it has never been told.
I'll fill it with faith,
Hope, and love.
The kind of love
I am deserving of.
A gift I must learn
To give myself.
For if it's not within me,
How can I give it to anyone else?
Yes, this will be my year
A new chapter in my book
Full of faith, hope, and love,
A brighter outlook.
