THE SUMMER STORM
Inside a single moment
All is changing
A memory a feeling
Almost a presence
From fearful
childhood dreams
From a sun filled
humid summer day
Darkness falls.
The presence
is closer now
It creeps in
through open windows
The cracks in walls
Now a wind howling
Like a wild haired banshee
Then the deluge
as if commanded
by a powerful hand.
even the mirrors
and pictures
on the walls
reflectt only
the fears of childhood.
