Are you going to hold me like that?
You make me feel like a skin covered sack
I am not a warm body pillow
In fact, I'm frozen stiff (it's so cold in your apartment)

It's 2 am and I'm wide awake
I don't dare flinch or even breath
Just please don't wake up and peal away from me
I couldn't bear the chill your bodies absence would bring

Could you hold me like this?
Like a name and a face
Like a pair of eyes meeting
Like two souls embraced

I'm not just a hand to hold
But I'm not too bold to ask
When you look at me,
What is it you see?
