She read about it in the papers
Or saw it on the TV news
However word got to her
No doubt at first she refused
To believe what they were saying
That her man was out there playing
And if it’s the reality
It’s something she didn’t see

She don’t wanna be that woman
Who sticks by a man that cheats
It’s a tired kind of scenario
That so often now repeats

She’s **** and attractive
The object of most men’s desire
It’s a mystery to her
Why she hasn’t lit his fire
And what she’s now being told
Only turns her warm blood cold
To publicly humiliate her
Said to her that he must hate her

She don’t wanna be that woman
Who sticks by a man that cheats
It’s a tired kind of scenario
That so often now repeats

She threatened to take his manhood
If it turned out to be true
Even though that’s quite extreme
It’surely something she would do

She don’t wanna be that woman
Who sticks by a man that cheats
It’s a tired kind of scenario
That so often now repeats

Hang in there for a minute
Her story’s almost done
To him it wasn’t serious
He was only having fun
And while that well may be
The thing he didn’t see
Was the affect as it were
That it was having on her

She don’t wanna be that woman
Who sticks by a man that cheats
It’s a tired kind of scenario
That so often now repeats

She threatened to take his manhood
If it turned out to be true
Even though that’s quite extreme
It’s surely something she would do
