Pull together the lump of clay, mold it, shape it, pull it up. Let it achieve the form it was meant to have. Spin away the excess and let the shape come to life. Stop the wheel and admire what has emerged from the random lump of earth. Rub it gently and smooth out the lines. Put it in the fire and bake it until it is ready. Take out the rough work and let it cool. Take a brush, a steady hand and a keen eye, add the finer details of what you can envision on the earthen canvas. Set it aside and let it dry, put a glaze on it then try it by fire one more time. Take it from the heat and let it sit, watch it slowly cool. Then when it is finally realized, a dream from a piece of raw earth. Put flowers in it and enjoy the vase you helped out of a lump of clay.
