Dec 2015
Blue and gold, dripping from lights
Black and gold, lighting up the night
Shining holes in the sky
Light from way on high
It has travelled for thousands of years
To protect us from fears
The darkness would swallow us whole,
Were it not for those holes
Sparkling, twinkling, enticing things
Heavenly light that sings
Pollution and fumes block the air
But above it all we know they're there
Watching us from afar
Beautiful, shining, star.
