When the sky turns dark and the wind whips through the trees. I sit and listen for the rain to fall and tap on the roof. I open a bottle of wine and start a fire for I know that a chill will fill the air. I then find a favorite blanket and lay it out on the floor. As the lightning cracks through the air with a fierce thundering roar, I take your hand and pull you close. We lay together talking and laughing into the midnight hour. As the storm passes, we find comfort in each others arms. On a rainy night we reconnect and renew our love as a storm passes by.
