I'm in need of a poem
One that's cheerful in form
To help in my escape
From the mood I'm in today

One that highlights
The betterment of this life
Adding highs to the lows
In the rhyming of much needed hope

A poem that will take away
The heartache that life throws my way
Turning it all inside out
The pain that I'm feeling right now

One that turns it around
Where what's been lost is found
That's why I'm in need of a poem
One that is cheerful in form
