Had I known it to be our last kiss,
I would've applied some mneumonics;
Attached your moistness to morning dampness
And footsteps imprinted on clover;
I'd stretch police tape around the crime scene upstairs;
Slipped a GPS chip beneath your in-sole;
Wove a comforter from your hairbrush.
As it is, I've collected your left-overs
For The Salvation Army,
And the allusions for me.
