No lapse of consciousness
Has seized us
Try though they may
They can’t appease us
With an apology
And a plastic Jesus
We’re on to them
So please believe us

They say hail Mary
And pray for grace
Towards a plastic Jesus
On their mantle place
It’s for insurance
Sort of just in case
Because all they want
Is not to be disgraced

They take their losses
With their gains
They know that *******
Baffles brains
And maybe that
Is what explains
Why they go through
Such awful pains

They say hail Mary
And pray for grace
Towards a plastic Jesus
On their mantle place
It’s for insurance
Sort of just in case
Because all they want
Is not to be disgraced

They deceived us
Told us lies
And we believed
Their alibis
That is until
We realized
They pulled the wool
Over our eyes

Everybody makes mistakes
That’s clear to us
For heaven’s sake
But they don’t know
How to apply the brakes
So they keep repeating
The same mistakes

Then say hail Mary
And pray for grace
Towards a plastic Jesus
On their mantle place
It’s for insurance
Sort of just in case
Because all they want
Is not to be disgraced

No lapse of consciousness
Has seized us
Try though they may
They can’t appease us
With an apology
And a plastic Jesus
We’re on to them
So please believe us
