Blessed are the children Jesus said
But just the other day somewhere I read
Another was abused tortured and misused
The headline bled another child is dead
Suffer little children unto me
Doesn't mean he wanted them to be
Victims in his name because we cannot contain
Hidden demons only we can see
Blessed are the children don't you know
They need lots of care and love to grow
Who among us doesn't think it so
Blessed are the children let them be
They have a right to live like you and me
Why is that so hard for us to see
Blessed are the children let them be
