When that son or daughter?
Ask why?
Just don't apologize.
Explain yourself.

To why?
You wasn't there.
It's not like you died.
It more like you ran.
When you needed to be a man.

Explain yourself.
They least entitle to that.
And accept their anger directed at you.

Who else?
Should they direct it totally to.

The excuses, I was in prison.
Or wasn't ready?
Oh, it sounds good.
But the breaks you was given.

Barely comprehend your worth to them.
And if they don't forgive you.
Can you really blame them?
