You said you love me,
At the same time you
Swallowed razor blades.
Demanding that you died
Everytime we kissed.
You found the poison pulsating
Through my blood stream.
It leaked from my tongue
And you S W O R E I couldn't
Undo your beautiful masterpiece
Existence.
You're unravelling;
At speeds quicker than the sound of light
And amounts larger than your universe;
The one you speak so fondly of.
As a wild fire burns from a minuscule spark;
Going up in flames... we are
D I S A P P E A R I N G.

Lost Tooth

I lost a friend and I lost a tooth,
The tooth had to go; the friend I couldn't lose
It was a wisdom tooth, with some decay,
It was a wise friendship, its strings began to fray,
The tooth couldn't be salvaged; the friendship stood a chance,
I chose to cut loose the tooth; cutting the friendship wasn't my stance
Like my tongue wiggles, at the place the tooth would be,
So mind tumbles, at all things my friend used to be

To try to speak, and miss the way
And ask it of the Tears,
Is Gratitude’s sweet poverty,
The Tatters that he wears—

A better Coat if he possessed
Would help him to conceal,
Not subjugate, the Mutineer
Whose title is “the Soul.”

What are fingertips but pulses and pauses?
A spinal sigh---a cradle to all existence?

The punchline of all sensory implications,
the culmination of our tangles and departures?

All flesh is ephemeral, soft to shards in hours;
Touch is but a ****** tendril in memoriam for desire.

Remember the days
When we’re both drunk in love,
Hands touching each other’s heart,
And those passionate eyes.

Those were the days
When we still jump for joys,
Laughing, hearing no other noise.

But that was replaced
With words we never meant to say,
People trying to break
A love that was already at stake.

I tried to be strong
Because one has to believe
That everything is worth a song

Until then,
My hands slipped off of the rope,
A rope that once I thought was long,
Long enough for my hopes to hold.

I thought of you as the enemy
So I could easily forget all the wounds you’ve caused to me
Because it is easier to hate than nothing at all.

I though it will last forever,
The grudge I’m holding on for months.
But an angel was sent down
To guide and fix up our hearts’ frown.

I never thought how much you were affected
For I was blinded with my own fears and tears
Now my memories of us came back

As we accept each other again,
Nothing will be the same, ever again.
Questions were left unanswered
Because in love, actions will always be better than words.

Always remember
“A love that once existed,
Will never ever fade away.”

Burning to burn

At the most recent party I went to
I was only warm.
The complete opposite of what I wanted to feel.
And you said warm is ideal. Right?
And I said no. **** the middle.
I. Want. To. Burn.
From the kind of dancing that makes your back sweat
Hips swing
From the Afro Latin beats
Whine to the Caribbean dance hall music
Naturally stepping without getting stepped on.
Screaming in unison to the lyrics of a dumb top 40's song.
Breaking my back to some nasty reggaeton
Throwin it back to the 90's classic. OW!
Gettin intimate body to body in a tasteful salsa.
Baby baby baby you make me wana holla.
I want to sweat!
But no one's dancing.
There's too much beer pong.
And I'm warm,
Only from alcohol.
I'm leaving this party.
