Staring at the blank sky
When there is no action
Abandoned by birds
And not a speck of cloud
Rare moments
When sky is lonely
Is that the time
When gates are opened
For my thoughts to enter
Beyond
No one comes between us
Only the silence
That shrouds me
Suddenly a whiff of wind
Making its presence felt
Yes, I am alive
Stirs my senses
My eyes transfixed
As my soul interacts
In an unknown language
Never before I spoke
I try to lend my ears
Mesmerized by the melody
Heart feels alive
What flown within me
Wakes me up
As I still stare at the sky
Wanders around back alleyways,
Foot in mouth,
Thumb up ***,
Spiderly flame rising,
From the lighter,
Boiling synthetic *******,
The sheen of the glass,
Marks the scar of his soul,
IT TURNS AS BLACK AS THE BURN,
Frail and decayed like the ash,
He smacks in his hand,
Wipes on his pants,
One smooth motion
Did you ever wonder why
clouds drift in the sky
have you ever felt the touch
filled up and throttled,
sombre like a key.
Did you ever see the rising tide,
reach past the mountainside,
has it ever made it past,
cast and crass,
would you ever be the same?
Nightmares don't scare me.
Confrontation slays all the thoughts,
That plague me,
That make me anxious,
That shrink to nothing.
So I wage a war everyday
On my insecurities and the reality
That all hate is based in some miniscule truth.
On my side are rationalizations
And obvious evidence against my stupid fears.
But some day
I won't be able fight them off
And my own thoughts will end me

Now that's scary.

One look at him
And I knew I'd spend
far more time day dreaming
Of the day that he'd be mine.
Than having the chance to speak to him.
Because I knew he was prince charming
And I was unordinary.
