You won't see me anymore
I've lost faith in what I was living for
Could tell you the moment it happened
But you wouldn't listen
And I hate wasting my breath

I count the scars you left on me
Not all of them I can see
But I know they're there
Because they ache so deeply

I dress to the nines
Like I'm going to a funeral
Gonna have fun with a gun
You'll see what I mean
When the whiskey's gone

All this silence is getting harder to kick
Lets play a game of Russian roulette
Ill load the barrel and take the first hit
There's one empty chamber
And I'm liking my odds

There's no room in my life
With all of this empty space
It's funny how late at night
I can remember your taste
But I won't recall the details
Or the smile on your face

All this silence is getting harder to kick
Lets play a game of Russian roulette
Ill load the barrel and take the first hit
There's one empty chamber
And I'm liking my odds

Pull the trigger (Don't worry about the mess)
Pull the trigger (If there's one left behind)
Pull the trigger (It's only a wedding dress)
Pull the trigger (You can have it dry cleaned)
Pull the trigger (After we make it a crime scene)

You won't see me anymore
I've lost faith in what I was living for
Could tell you the moment it happened
But you wouldn't listen
And I hate wasting my breath

I count the scars you left on me
Not all of them I can see
But I know they're there
Because they ache so deeply

Pull the trigger (Don't worry about the mess)
Pull the trigger (If there's one left behind)
Pull the trigger (It's only a wedding dress)
Pull the trigger (You can have it dry cleaned)
Pull the trigger (After we make it a crime scene)

Lets play a game of Russian roulette
Ill load the barrel and take the first hit
There's one empty chamber
And I'm liking my odds

there will be no poetry tonight,
the sky is clear and if'n there be a moon
                    there will be light.

the traffic plays a base note tune,
the frost lands softly, a delight,
nothing sinks faster than a frozen balloon.

there will be light,
that shines into the lives of ruin,
gathered in packs, of two or three this night.

the tears that fall on this freezing night, collect in a heated spoon,
there will be a night light,
whereever the homeless sleep, entrances, streetlights of even the new moon,

there will be light,
snow by Sunday a boon,
for the ski hills and plowmen who,
have not made any money to go to Cancun,

but there will be no poetry tonight,
the dog is ill and there is no clue in,
the stars as to what is wrong, but there will be light.

may the random force be with you
January-
I’m trying to forget the sound of your voice. Just a few days ago your cries for attention were echoing in my ears. I don’t know how to turn down the volume.

February-
Grape vines twist through my ribcage. My blood turns to wine.

March-
The sun pokes its head out the curtain. The stars tell it not too. That is unprofessional. No one can know what goes on behind the scenes.

April-
I wear birthday cake frosting as lipstick. I resemble a clown. I balance on boxes filled with my favorite books. Another year older.

May-
I’m a time bomb. I’m ticking down. I’m sorry you had to find out this way. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6. The confessions burble out of my throat. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. Silence.

June-
Like the flowers, I am reborn. My petals spread out and greet the warmth. My pretty colors distract me from my inevitable death.

July-
I can’t breathe under this heat. The air has stilled, the Earth has stopped moving. How am I still not over this?

August-
I hide from the sun. From the sky and the stars. I am ashamed of what I am.

September-
Everyone is looking at me. I don’t fit inside my skin. They all know. It is written across my forehead. It is tattooed in braille on the soles of my feet.

October-
The leaves fall from trees. I follow suit. We change and die together. I knew there was a reason I liked this weather.

November-
I have long stopped being a person. I am your lost inhaler. I am snow in the summer. An afterthought of a girl. I am sorry.

December-
Its the anniversary of the assault. I’ve only ever spoken about in poetry. Compared it to bees. Compared it to cats’ claws stuck in moth eaten sweaters. To irritated scars now opened despite months of bandages and stitches. I’ve left it folded in between pages of diary entries. I hope one day you find them. And you realize what you’ve done.
I could take
belligerent opposition
to Others in everyday life,
or I could be an Adult
and **** it up,
my judgement and my hubris,
and see where Others will go
if they get their way;
in fact,
I'll try to help
in any way,
if I can.

Perhaps
they will learn a lesson,
or perhaps I shall;
but, regardless, I hope
in turn,
all shall be wiser.

This is our one mutual truth, friend,
that remains hidden a mystery all life:

खेलते रहते हैं  हम, टालते,
कसरती मेहनती हैं, कसरातों
महनतों में खोए रहतें हैं हम

we are busy playing, postponing
the question, and we are workers,
we remain immersed in our
efforts and struggles all life

but a day comes, when the difference
is but between the morrow, and
there's no time to even call out 'friend'

when the call comes, so caught
up we become, that return
is not an option from the maelstrom

suddenly, that we have kept hidden,
comes alive emerging from shadows

This our mutual truth, that
remains hidden a mystery all life.
