Peppermint creme-filled fingers
dabble nothing;
sleep through alarms and dislocated anger sockets
every morning.
And there are flyers littering my floor
speaking truths I never wanted
and never knew
through band names shock factoring
their ardent prisons.
Attention is a world currency,
just like ***,
just like symmetry,
and the plates shift
while my plates sit
in the aluminum sink
in my kitchen.

Duo
Two

Times again
Again and again
Spinning three sixty
Three sixty and drop

Two

People holding
Hands in the rain
Drops drip and drop
Again on clenched fingers

Two

Cars rolling
Through red
Lights and bam
Crash and burn

Two

Funerals too
Black and bare to
Bear so you crawl up
In a ball and **** your thumb

Two

More times
Before I'm done and
Sit down for
Peace & quiet

We softly spoke
                              after the fact;
        The reasons
Were *limited.

Lids like ocean waves
crashing over iris shores
release me

What is it exactly that I need?

The same old
Sliding around is falling
Beautifully out of line.

I wonder if it eats
at you softly.
I'd love to know
When it begins to *burn away

At the fleshy substance
around the outside
of your brain.

We play
wicked games
In the name of science
and discovery
In order to *once-twice-three

Times try the **** around game;
Hopeful to figure out
Each others true anatomy.

The opposite *** -
The fear of *** -
What a nightmare. . .

**Why is it that I need an answer?

There is a woman
Eager with doubt
Missing the secrets
As kisses fade
Fears push onward
Foolish feelings surface

Sorrow keeps the gray hearts breaking
And the lonely souls aching

She paints the streets
Until they are glistening
Wildly
With her tears

At a party a guy said,
"I need a job so I can
go to the bars"
What the ****
I work 40 hours a week
so I can pay for my car
and eat
where are your priorities
am I a minority here,
surrounded by rich kids?
I just want enough to get
a grilled chicken sandwich
***** your beers and
Long Island iced teas
give me enough to
have a roof over my head
and
eat
