Messy!
Olivia Kent Dec 2013
Written in dreams of movie scenes.
Or in a book.

Please take a look.
At lost souls incognito.

Who are missing their goals.
In half open wholes.
Only halves.
Maybe quarters.
Potentially daughters,

Of resplendent dashing princes.
With old goats and long since missed boats.

Diamonds and wealthy pilots.
Steering crazy paths through hollow hills.

Jesus Christ.
I need to laugh.
Think I never will.

Need to stroll through Edelweiss.
Upon the alpine ridge.

Need to build upon, my one last rickety bridge.
Some kind of crazy structure.
Before that bridge is gone.

Before falling to certain demise.
In a life I so despise

Then heaven help me.
Let me rise.

LIVING
Olivia Kent Mar 2016
Want to do music and drama and dance.
To whirl round a maypole while seeking romance.
Collecting spring flowers.
With wonderful scents.
To live for the moment.
To roll on damp grass.
Watching the birds fly.
Seeing a magpie from the side of my eye.
While lovely children go running awry.
Evening is coming.
A life full of fun.
Recalling the moment they once called me mum.
Mum became nan.
Such is life.

So how was your day today?
Infant entered the world in the morn.
Child of a friend of mine.
A man child.
So delighted.
May their lives be filled with love and joy.
A precious gift a baby boy.
Congratulations Mum, dad and newborn one.

TOGETHERNESS
Olivia Kent Apr 2016
We walk through the woods.
The wind in our hair.
Childlike.
Almost skipping.
Walking on air.
Kisses of sunshine.
Such delight to be there.
Hands clasped together.
Unity.
Sensing feelings that flow, so electrically charged.
Meeting of eyes.
Greeting of minds.
Cultivating roses of our own making.
Freshly pruned.
Shapely creations.

This painted lady is no butterfly.
Hair grey as driven snow.
Not naturally.
Not cold.
Fingers cyanotic.
Came not from the chill.
But outta plastic ***.

Wooden floorboards dashed.
As footprints gently crept.
Handbag full of fingerprints.
My couch has funny spots.
Decorating my walls.
My entire world's gone blue and grey.
Carpets cover paint spots.
Bring on wonderful Wednesday.

Cautionary Tale!
Olivia Kent Dec 2013
In the meadow in front of the manor house.
The long grass invited them.
Suggested they step in.
Hand in hand they strolled.
As kissing in the grass they rolled.
Never did as they were told.

The Lord of big house he came.
Caught them playing naughty games.
He stood watching as they played.
The foot man and me the parlour maid.
Master whispered in her ear.
'Tut tut come here.
I want you for myself my dear'.

The foot man got his marching orders.
The lord of the manor he smiled and said,
' Get here sweet, *****, we're going to bed'.
Sweet ***** smiled with a twinkling eye, for she would so much sooner die.
But as a servant has to do.
She had to do as she is told.

She stood there with her index finger, placed discreetly between her teeth.
Looking so seductive.
With eyebrows high, head tilted subtly to one side.
Although, him she found repulsive.
She got him hot.
Loved him not.
She said she needed to freshen up.
Dashed off to find the loo.
That's what she said.
What she had to do.
Instead she found a telephone.
Rang his honest wife.
Told his wife of infidelity.
She paid for telling with her life!

FRENCH KISSING ON VENUS(A little nonsense )
Just coming to life.
Was up til three.
Playing silly sods.
Hopped into my baby son's spaceship.
Found myself on Venus.
Don't know how I got there.
Maybe I was seeking love.
Venus has a purpose, in matters of such trivia.
In the silly world of love.

Met a few Venusian chaps.
Funny things they were.
Their hands were wandering everywhere.
Too many of them you know.
Far too many hands that is.
One went in for a French kiss.
Guys from Venus like to kiss.
His tongue was very very long, with it my tonsils tickled.

Irksome tongue, it made me choke.
Ipso facto,  that mega tongue, made me rather sick.
That rampant guy from Venus,  well he ripped of all my clothes.
Used them as a hand kerchief, on which he wiped his runny nose.
Somehow.
Method as yet unknown.
Landed outside my front door.
What a shock that was.
For my poor unfortunate neighbours.
Who saw all my naked bits.
A weird situation,  created by a kiss.

TRUST ISSUES?
Olivia Kent Aug 2014
Love is a monster.
with huge scary teeth,
they're concealed behind a magnificent smile.
which, smiles indiscretion,
in the blink of an eye,
with a mischievous wink.

It hides in your heart,
but you'll never release it,
never again.

There's a corner at the end of your street,
It could almost be a Parisian walkway,
in a coffee shop,
pull up a seat,
take your coffee,
like a love affair,
make sure it's super hot,
May your eyes meet,
exchange glances,
Eyes fixed.
You know you want to beat that monster,
with all you're heart and all your mind.

But,the sirens are eternally alive,
they wail noisily,
as always,
just a beautiful diversion,
to steer you onto the rocks.

Poets Heart!!!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Ambulance chased harsh tragedy.
Took the young man home
Beep beep, crash.
Paddles without a boat.
Asystole.. gone gone gone.
Cadaver gave donation.
Thank you.
Bless his holy soul.
Pray may he rest in peace.

The diseased heart of the sad man beats.
Hammers a struggle every day.
Called in.
In a mighty dash.

Prepared for transplantation.
Of this wonderful donation.
Once alive cadaver renewed.
Invigorated.
Life lacking quality.
Was given quantity.

Once deceased heart beats on in another.
Released to live and breathe again.
Was much too young to die.

Four chambers full with emotion blooming.
The heart transplanted was that of a lover.
A poet.
The beating heart beat at a ton.
The battle won.
A tad too fast, but built to last.

The worthless one with no value.
Picked up a pen to write.
Poems of power flowed to the sea.
Up the mountains over the trees.
Strange enthusiasm.
Never before felt.
The hard cold man began to melt.

The victim of tragedy.
Left legacy.
Wholly unexpected.
The once was poet.
Renewed his heart.

Christmas Memories!
Olivia Kent Jan 2014
Found a discarded mince pie.
Left under the spineless Christmas tree.
Picked it up and ate it.
It was still in the box.
The date said fresh and fresh it was.
Yum, she thought let’s eat.
Was so delicious, yes it was.
Enjoyed it oh so very much.
One problem with her mince pie sweet.
The pastry crumbled, what a mess.
Sweet reflection of Christmas.
So recently passed.
When on her own she had a blast.

The turkeys are fed up.
Only one or two remain.
Said goodbye to all their friends to breed and breed again.
Thanks given for their friends.
Waiting for next Christmas to visit.

Grotesque Night!
Olivia Kent Oct 2013
Slept all night.
Brain wide awake.
Body woke.
Shaking.
Wrapped in sweat so cold.
Dreamed
As if non stop during darkened hours.
Meeting in the graveyard.
Cemetery of shame.
Necropolis of long dead regret.
Pursued by gang without escape.
Feral kids exuded terror.
Petrified as long dead tree.
Heart created in stone.
Eons of ancient history.
Step taken furtively.
Begging to be set free.
Let go.
Space invaded by fear dressed in denim.
Misgivings unforgiving.
Scared near to dying.
Heart beating manically.
Scarred by memories of neglect.
Painted hatred on a memory stick of sorrow.
Maybe brighter in the morrow!
Cruelty in dreams.
Unbearable.

Retrieve the passion thou shared.
Good sir indeed.
Pray show thyself as keen in action.
Ridicule the lady not.
The lady of seasons bears a perpetual gift.
Yours for eternity.
An honest emerald, captured from a den of thieves.
For the woman sighs.
Crying quietly unto her handkerchief,
Created of distressed lace.
The lady carries but a precious cargo.
A freight ne'er to become forgot.
Madame is a beauty, a butterfly of carbon made.
Her character build of moorland stone.
She weeps daily for you.
Before your child be born.
But her lord is sadly gone.

Gypsy Curse
Olivia Kent May 2014
Cross my path with silver,
cackled the aged crone,
She sniggered,
and the girlie,
she just walked past,
Grinning, saying confidentially,
"What you know you silly old hag",
The hag she shouted in her face,
Girlie,"I can bless you,
or equally, can curse you",
The years did pass,
The crone, kept girl's sarcasm in her heart,
The girl she wanted an honest child,
for she had grown older,
somewhat bolder,
And she tried to conceive,
a baby of love,
a gift from above,
she had lots of expensive investigations,
but she just couldn't fall,
The crone she passed in the hallway,
Smiled all knowingly,
she whispered at the sweet chick,
"if you'd crossed my palm with silver, all those years ago,
you would have had a baby,
But you will never know,
She sat and she thought, and she smiled to herself,
For she never believed in that gypsy's curse.
Two years have passed since that day,
her bonny baby, she doth play,
realised the gypsy curse was *******.

It was only left slightly ajar.
The mad dormouse sat in his tea ***.
Trying to work out what to wear.

Decrying love story.

Keys

Sat in front of the keyboard.
End of another long and lonely day.
Not that this piano's grand.
Cannot play a note.
The world is out of tune.

Life's secrets are locked away.
In Pandora's box.
The key, it's rusty.
Jammed in the lock.
A relief it seems.
Be careful not to snap it.

Key winds the clock.
Tick Tock.
Without the key to wind it.
Maybe all life stops.
Need the clock.
Keep the beat of a lonely pulse.

Key is a clue in a mystery.
Query the keys.
Need to seek the answers.
Unlock a feisty mind.
This key winds a spring.
Spring will be sprung.

The heartbeat drum will find the rhythm.
Of the failing grand piano.
For the solo orchestra of one.
One minus another.
Clickety clack.
Back on my keyboard I tap!

SUNDAY
Olivia Kent May 2015
Life belongs to Monday morning.
Still, I'm haunted by Sunday teatime.
Scones in the parlour at the back of the house.
With mamma and poppa and sweet baby Jayne.
Toasted crumpets together, and drank hot cups of tea.
The crumpets were toasted upon a huge open fire.
Jayne had been sleeping in the cot by the door.
Too young to eat crumpets and scones, she's not allowed tea.
The baby still sleeping remains in the parlour.
It's warmer in there.
And so to the drawing room with round rosewood table.
Nature of the cloth thereupon changed.
It's marked with the symbols of a, b and c.
A painted on canvass that ends with a zee.
It's crimson, edged with gold.
In the centre a YES and a NO.
Centrally placed a wine glass.
Knock knock on the door.
Now there are five.
Tonight the table may come alive.
They're hoping.
A standard lamp, rather dated stood in the corner.
Had a scarlet shade with golden tassels.
They sit round the table.
It's just what they did.
Fingers on glass.
They're calling out.
"Is anybody there?"
The room becomes chilled.
Atmosphere stifling.
Glass moves around the circle.
A...R...I....E.....L.....spellbinding.
'Twas the spirit of the dark poet,Plath.
Darkness from sorrow, no more tomorrow.
Another spirit in attendance.
Takes Sylvia by the hand.
Into the light, escorted by guide.
Goodbye sorrowed poet.
Walked into the light.
Goodnight.
Sleep tight.

Kiss of passion laced with mellow hemlock for suicides pleasure in a kiss goodbye,
Entered the realms of dark skies as a kiss goodnight,
A toxic tranquility as drifting away,
Glides softly into serenity via gentle paralysis,
Up and coming in gradual waves as waving goodbye,
Cyanosis catches up, heart and brain devoid of feeling,
What joy,no pain,
Slips from a nightmare,
Shaking screaming
A fiery fury as hemlock laced kiss,
Hits the final spot before dying,
Crying a fatal goodbye,
Crucified as cheerio,
Blessed incarnate no fury,
For all is not lost,
Allegedly death is the last great escapade!

Where I looked deep into your very dark eyes.
In the bedroom where a living love died.

Just a moment in time.
When I was yours and you were mine.

You no longer bow in my honour my Lord.
My word it's broken as is my heart.
As powdered glass it lives on the floor.
For I can meet you never more.

In a year or slightly less.

You were truly wonderful.
Were truly the best.

The Seductress Tempts!

A body in full glory stands before him.
Perpendicular in patent black shiny shoes, skirt hugging her truest form!
Her eyes wide and  sultry stare deep into his persona.
Finding, vibrant body heat!
A tigress on a hungry prowl.
She strokes her lips meaningfully with her sandpaper tongue!
She has patterns of her own.
Talons painted scarlet, remnants of her last victim!
She wants to seize and devour him.....
To chew on his his bone is her lust!
She desperately needs to eat....
Her tongue starts to trickle in jest....
Daring him to play!
She entraps him in his world of fantasy,
He is tempted....so tempted,
He needs to be fed, has desires of his own......
No fight in him.
He succumbs to her needs!
She expresses her desires.
Gesturing him to drop before her majestic form.
Holds his head in her hands, stroking his hair gently.
Sudden dire urges on.
The gentleness has left,
His hair was yanked.
She pushes him hard onto the bed.
Craving feed more as they grapple.
He turned, trousers full of promise succumbing to her, at last!

Dinner with the Vicar
Olivia Kent May 2014
Went to see the pastor,
he invited me for tea,
a general pleasant conversation,
covered all the room,
we chatted for a while,
and then I made smile,
I asked him "Sir, what's for tea",
He grinned real wide,
and said to me,
" sweet lady, we are having a roast",
and then I said to he,
What is the roast to be today?
He smiled back as he replied,
remnants of the lord who'd died,
"what on earth said I"?
So I smiled back and chuckled a bit,
would we, really roast the holy ghost,
he nodded bowing his head,
"Sweet lady, we are having Fred"
"Who on earth is Fred"? I said,
"Well  milady",
"Fred is the chicken, that scratched in the yard,
who made conversation with the bard,
while, scratching for worms"
"More filling than the holy ghost,
chicken ,tastes a whole lot better than most other roasts"
So,
the vicar or pastor, whichever you care, picked up his chopper after brushing his hair,
dashed into the yard to catch hold of Fred,
Fred didn't fancy being dinner,
so he'd already fled.

The Darker Side of Poetry!

How can we go dancing,
When in the dark you scream,
In violence and vengeance,
When your heart bleeds and dies,
Black roses grace your presence,
Startled by your disrespect,
Assaulting,
Insulting,
As you poke your poison tongue's expulsions,

Blaggart,

Crimes made out of time,
How can love be you,
When you have a heart of glass,
Heart, himself is dancing,
Dying while he writes,
Through diamond mines tranquility,
Unearthed a heart of glass.

Always lots of takers,
Fill up the undertaker's
Probably on Wednesday,
Cos she is full of woe.

And moonlight ushers her blessings on your body as you rest.
She reads the stress pouring out from your forehead in dreams.
Timid whimpers the puppy saddened by a scolding.
Cowering as age develops by the minute.
Even by the second.
Not at all as you had reckoned.

Diana, huntress snatches your sword.
Propelled it to the nether worlds.
Lest you cut yourself.
Sever not the light of life.
Carried on raindrops.

By the face of morning's crispy sun.
You quake, you shake you vibrate and you quiver.
Like joy in the morning the sunshine you give her!

A pair let loose,
With truest care,

Innocuous and innocent,
Following,
Fire's stormy head,
Heart of innocence,
Sent with wishes for sweetness,
In scented flowers,
Chocolate, sticky toffee melts,
Stored in heart's locked cupboard space,

Evanescent essence of loves' pure lush!
Lashes,
Eyelashes,
Protect sparklers,
Inside smiling eyes,
In tranquil innocent moments,
Behold me,

Sailing through peril on loves turbulent swell,

The Cafe of Lost Dreams!
Olivia Kent Dec 2013
Drink a toast to the dreams that got lost.

Sat in a world of  the single minded.
The location of shattered dreams lost.

No longer whispering.
Ghosts of long gone dreams.

They wail.
They scream as banshees of doom.

Predicting solitary misery.

Not destitute,
Quite happy really,

Hell maybe, I am,
I am not.

The music plays and I drown in it.
Swallowing it, hook line and sinker.

This funny woman,
A deep thinker.

An amusing muser.
Somewhat bemused.

She lives on the planet of miserable cow.

The couple next door.
Sharing a lunch,

One between two.
In oblivious dreams of true romance.

New romantics perhaps.
As lucky sods and demi-gods,

They sat and munched their lunch.

Me,
The she,

Listens to the music, listless.
In a place where no-one can dance.

Tapping my foot in time.
Yes, my friend.
I said in time

And the music strokes the air.
The music gets stuck in my auburn hair.

Soul to soul,
She is bare,
Unwrapped.

My coffee went cold.
Should I maybe be so bold.

To stay and listen to more.
And the music became more.

So much more.

My inspiration on this glorious day.
Passion in full view.

C'est la vie.
(And Alaric ,my friend).

May the devil enjoy my play on words,
Such injustice be kindly greeted.

Would prefer to tickle angels, with my words instead.

Shreds of vanished memory.

A waste of years of plentiful wishes.
Wanton.
Risque.

In expectation excited.
Fed fire with fire.
Long since smouldered.
Flaming desire tragic.
The sorcery dispersed.
The heart of broken magic.

Should the hate crack on.
Smash not the crystal casket.
In which the lady sleeps.
Eternally weeps in silence.
Cost of lost love.
Mourns the cost.
Of love forgot.
While sweet angel sleeps!

Natural Process!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
It's dying you know.
In a scary dark dirge.
It's falling fast.

Was feeling mediocre.
Ages fly past.
From childhood to menopause.
Hell what a blast.
Some kind of supersonic speed.

Looking into the dark world of periods past.
Just took a breath.
Oops there went another.
One second closer.

Patella aches.
Legs are veined.
Decorated ornately.
Threads sewn.
Embroidered, but not by needles.
Hair has gone all funny.
Killed it with my dye.
This hormones it's falling out.
Really don't know why.

Guess I should age naturally.
But I don't know why I should.

Sepsis!
Olivia Kent Aug 2013
Snared heart kept, imprisoned could be potential dying day,
Lips regaled in ischaemia, blue blood,flows.....cold,
Face scarlet, temperatures up, pyrexia rules, as she tries too cool,
Mouthing  strange babble,
She's talking in tongues,
Beaded mask  sparkling,  droplets trickle,
Tachycardic, heart beats, trying not to escape this life desperately, Heart trying not to explode!
the forties....roaring!
She breathes, so fast...  the forties....roaring!
It's  tragic, like everything's trying to meet  demand with supply........!
Inadequately,
Currently on remand, waiting for  her sentence to be be passed,
Docs and nurses they rally, running with obs,
All taking their roles, while doing their jobs,
Mews activated, doc visits he's, anxious,
Iv antibiotics he orders,
In plastic sachet, hanging up high, hereby, lies the awaited decision, if she'll  have the will to live, or will she die...
Hope not!
It's not in an instant, but, recovery apparent, as breathing slows below twelve,
Heart beat, it settles,
Her kidneys show function,
Her temperature chills slowly, 36.5, she's still alive,
Thank God,
She got off the train at sepsis junction!

TISSUES
Olivia Kent Jan 2014
AAAtishoo!
Quick, please pass me a tissue.

Ran out of toilet roll.
Quick, please pass me a tissue.

A wet face dripping as tears drizzle.
Quick, please pass me a tissue.

Make up smudged in need of wiping.
Quick, please pass me a tissue.

Burned skin severely, in need a graft.
Quick, please pass me a tissue.

Human beings made of varying tissues.
Various colours.

Make me some tissues.
Not the ones from a box.

Catherine Eddowes (KATE)
Olivia Kent Jul 2013
Sweet Catherine Eddowes,
Second lady one of two,
On a night of grisly finds in the square of the bishop's headdress,
In London's not so fair city,
On this the Sabbath's tragic night,
'Kate' tragic shrew was tamed, not by Petruchio,
This murdered lady from tragedy of night walk,
Tatooed lady, hazel eyes and fiery auburn hair,
Bonnet left on after death, protected her beautiful hair,
Perhaps the ripper cared,
Kate filled usually with vile temper,
Her temper not apparent on that sad night,
Appeared to put up no fight,
Her beautiful face was sliced to ribbons,
Cruelly disfigured by this evil,
Usually was a jolly gal, loved to sing and dance,

Unable to make a flight to escape the merciless wrath of this mystery man,
Carotid artery slashed and dashed,
No blood left on the ground,
Smeared foul faecal matter all around,
As ripping evil stole, her bowels,
Lain, like sleeping naturally ,
Still warm corpse discovered,
Fellow passing by saw a woman pass,
May have been her with a chap, fair haired, looking shabby,
Different description from the others,
Poor Kate left family of three behind,
A daughter and two sons,
The sun had set for the last time,
For their poor dear mother.
The forth ripper victim!

EBONY
Olivia Kent Dec 2014
Ebony hangs the sky of the world.
A suspension of feeble stars attempt to shine.

May the winter chill ,not fill the feeling.
Emotions be captured,
Upon of this the most blessed season.
The children paint windows upon the future.
May the young ones be the perfect reason.

Body Parts!
Olivia Kent Dec 2013
Body Parts

The holy two of us.
Danced bare naked in the acid rain.
Stripped tissue from bone.
Caused deep pain.
More pain than either ever knew.
Bi-laterally scarred.

Internal scarring.
Heart ripped out and left behind.
She left her heart in your bedroom.
Her head on the bus.
Left her memories in the dustbin.

All the memories of us.
Maybe not.
He's never forgot.
She left her womanhood there in his brain.
So he could fantasize about her as he plays.
She left her mouth in the spot,
The spot he loved it best.
I'll let him think and remember the rest.

It's so sad it all went rotten.
Let two crazy poets never forget.
Each others feelings deeply.
With never not an ounce of regret!

SLEEPY SONNET
Olivia Kent Mar 2014
Tis the evening,light has faded,
Night creeps over the land,
The lights of the street, my world have invaded,
In need of the beauty of dreamland.
Need to find my lover,
The one that I call my lovely, lovely  sleep,
My lover  lives under my cover,
Carries me off so deep,
As into solo sleep I drift,
The place I rest my weary head,
Between me , myself and I, never a rift,
Best place in the world my bed,
The morning will soon find me, wake me with a morning kiss,
My last day off, Sunday, the one I can't miss.

STORY OF NEW ORLEANS
Olivia Kent Apr 2015
Talking to a sorry seamstress.
Hanging out in New Orleans.
A witch, she stole you from you jeans,
Robbed you of your lover,
Sold you onto another.
Satan himself.

Exerted the most passionate of mind control.
When full of magic she robbed your soul.
Full of pizzazz and all that jazz.

Black cats and ravens.
Unholy houses, unsafe havens.
Voodoo.
Trembling zombies,
Out to munch.
Petrified lunch.

Potions.
Lotions.
Evil devotions.
Incensed.
Incantations.
New Orleans.
Zombie nation.

MYSTERY
Olivia Kent Jan 2014
Can I see thee, through those windows?
Misty, grimy, opaque, but clearing.
What is foreseen, as yet nobody knows.
A presence gentle, truly nearing.
Force exuded filled with passion.
Hark thee one of gentle voice,
A lady, once pallid and ashen,
Lady fair, hath now a choice.
Greets a suitor from nether world.
Maybe lady, has new chance.
Comes to call, with love unfurled,
Novel way to find romance.
She knows not yet, what she hath found,
Deep in the land of underground.

LOVING WORDS
Olivia Kent Sep 2016
Love carried on the whistling wind,
It screamed your tag initially,
Now in a wild whirling whisper when you wonder what each message spells.
Semaphore and smoke signals, carried on the winter wind as storms collide within your eyes.
Deities of chaos, went and wrote a book of words.
In shreds of insular letters written on ice, in crystal clouds.
Something like I love you.
In Sanskrit symbols, carved in old woods.
Where women run naked, who say that it's good.
And all the information thereby, carried on that whistling wind.

Iced Mocha Delight!
Olivia Kent Aug 2013
In a luscious crushed iced mocha,
Cream as it's wonderful peak,
Top of my mountain of mischief,
The wonderful delicious iced mocha,
Dwelling in my heaven filled mug,
All crushed up with love,
Negate the love,
It's from commercial enterprise,
My heartfelt want, my one desire.....
To have a mocha machine of my own, to sate my wild desire!

BALLERINA
Olivia Kent Sep 2015
Left the stage.
Exited stage left.
Her swan song lifted spirits.
Perfect performance.
Drama filled.
Last breath then she was gone.

Her bolstered tutu puffed up proudly.
Released her wings.
Trumpeters played, then she was gone.
One last gasp, she was done.
To her audience a revelation.
The flowers they threw fell in stems.
Time and time again.
An apparition that still remains.
Daily the stems of falling flowers lay.
When bought forth the janitor comes to clean.
The flowers have gone if you know what I mean.
Another supernatural scene.

Her name headlined all the papers.
Was front page news.
Now just the ballerina who passed on the stage.
Not even a paragraph given.
The headlines for the tabloid's now, are only for the living.

Over the geyser,on beds of algae they rest.
A  bunch of breeders.
Millions of them.
Bugs and mites that thrive.
Predatory bugs lay scrumptious eggs,
Eggs become grubs, all munch the algae,
Algae is chiselled away, chewed by hungry grubs and mites.
A stream of blistering roasting water, wipes them out again.
The cycle of life resumed!
A natural history poem

Such Fragility!
Olivia Kent Nov 2013
Fragile as the morning crisp.
A stem of winter's chill.
The love of a friend.
All blistered and torn.
Fragility of a virgins beautiful kiss.

Washed away in early morn.
Laid on the grass for mornings glory.
Growing into the glory of day.

Fragile,
So fragile.
Was the time spent in dreams.
In dreams or so it seemed.

Virginal, taut.
So taut it shattered!
Washed away in a moment of rabid sorrow.
Goodbye my love until tomorrow!
