Love is just a word,
until you meet your soulmate.

They tell you life has many paths you
just have to find yours.
If you think it doesn't have twists
and turns, then you haven't tried anything new.
There's cracks and bumps and even
people on the side who ask to walk along you.
It's all your choice to accept them or leave them.
The path to greatest is not supposed to be straight.
Every time you choose something
your current path is split in two and you move on.
You might think what if I didn't
do this would I be even different?
Maybe.
Thats up to you to decide.
It's not a race to finish the road.
It never was.
It's meant to have your eyes ahead and keep
on moving forward because that's life.
I know this very cliché, but I wrote
it while I was depressed during my
finals of last year in college. I thought
I was going to fail so I cheated.
i failed once again
my impulses take control
i find no reason to fight it
i fell like ive lost it all

the demons
come creeping back in
they help me pick up the razor
and put it against my skin

one little line
soon becomes more
its not long before
the drips hit the floor

im falling down
back into old habits
its a neverending fall
into neverending pits

it's time for me to go now
the gashes need to heal
ive been torn and torn myself up
none of this seems real
One day you'll meet a guy
Who'll tell you you're beautiful
And you will believe him
More than you did me.
It's not sad... Really.

We’re no fortune tellers
No time travelers —
God isn’t whispering His
Distant plans into our ears.

We’re just hopefuls
Speculating our futures
On 11:11 wishes
& fallen eyelash kisses.

Next time you see a shooting star
Harness its magic
Soak in that you’re made of star-stuff
And don’t you dare close your eyes
To breathe out another fruitless prayer.
We roll our eyes at the moon
saying, " You'll never shine bright enough."

We scoff at the flowers
whispering, "You'll never be beautiful enough."

But the moon keeps shining.
The flowers keep growing.

Likewise, so will I.
