Unspoken

It went unspoken;
It couldn’t work out.
Not without hate
And not without doubt.

It went unspoken;
We were bound to fail.
We had too much energy;
We’d drive our carts off the rail.

I know we will have to say goodbye soon.
The day creeps closer, to take me away from you.
How can I stop it? I don’t want to part.
