The silky blue and the silky green
The rocks and the rubble
The browns and the greys

The orange flower pots filled with peat
Flowers reaching out their buried roots
wildly drinking up the silky blue-
speckled white with rain-buckets full

There roams the cattle big family group
across the silky green munching as they go
Calves kicking up their heels frolicking
in the dewy wet grass their carpet and their breakfast

Where does man-flesh fit passing as he does each day brief
One could be gardener seeing to the silky green
Another predicting weather out the silky blue
One digs up grey rocks out the brown for building walls-
To help the farmer herd his cattle

Another sits recording a passing scene forever changing
Forever the same forever one passing hour
One passed moment a time recorded gone
His pen finally falling silent.

to tell the truth, "being physically separate from you, is looking after myself".

Wind booms around every wall of the house
hitching up her skirts she grows bolder
and her feet kick the windows as the sky grows darker
a mad witch intent on destruction she whistles spells
while a thunderous noise comes from deep in her belly
we all cower at her incantations and murderous temper
waiting for the wildness to wane as the witches madness passes.

My diamond studded pistol grip tells a story of success
How good I am at shooting dead
with handmade silver bullets.

no idea how many miles this body has travelled
no more than this soul has wanted
I would guess a lot and more than that
anyone could accurately make a count of

Many many miles more than I can remember
but I do remember wanting to travel and that

I pluck stars with chopsticks straight out of the night
bring them to my lips and kiss their fire

and when it seems their fire is all gone with my chopsticks to save my fingers from their burn I flip them back into the sky and watch them reignite and shine back in the place I plucked them from.

sing to me your songs of stillness
where a single sparrow is perched-
high up on a branch out of sight
silent with heart loving intelligence

The red breast of the Robin flits
around the frozen dusted icing sugar
- fried seaweed green grass
crisp rigor mortise cold as a corpse.

the Hoodie Crows fight and squabble
all over my spaghetti

indeed love overcomes all else

love abides mightier than steel
love sends its shock wave
and all falls like so many skittles

Seagulls above the fish farm boats
wheel and dance:
White vultures

Guitar players speak in rifts
while drummers go insane
and a singer sings-

As the poetess gives birth
-to her hearts love once and once again
she dances for all her lovers

And then rests within her words
silently sung
while she dreams.

hail hard as stone
rattles on windows
frozen ***** of storm
play the roof;
drum heavy metal

******* on tobacco as a child suckles the breast
its been more years than a man cares to count.
All the dire warnings are put aside with, 'count your blessings'

A solitary Sparrow sings into the silence
a fleeting songster on its way somewhere else,
-reminds this traveller to look beyond himself,
to see the beauty that surrounds his shelter
and the shining path winding into all distance.
